Steve brings over 14 years of coaching experience working with strength athletes across the full competitive spectrum. His coaching resume includes first-time lifters, 70+ year-old masters athletes, local and national competitors, strongman national champions, and even the top drug-tested female lifter in the world in 2023. Drawing on a deep knowledge of programming, biomechanics, and long-term athletic development, Steve consistently produces results both in training and on the platform.

Beyond coaching, he is a dedicated educator, sharing his expertise in technique and program design through his YouTube channel (17,000+ subscribers) and as a co-founder of Powerlifting Now. Through Strength Now, Steve aims to make high quality, thoughtfully designed strength programs accessible to lifters of all levels. Helping them to hit PRs, refine their technique, and build real, lasting strength.

Marcellus has 10 years of coaching experience, having worked with hundreds of individuals in both strength training and nutrition. Marcellus is also a national level competitor himself, allowing him to work through the lens of an athlete as well as a coach. His resume includes maintaining a roster of 80 lifters with varying backgrounds in age, occupation, and strength levels. From local level lifters working towards their first meet to world champions, Marcellus has successfully managed to adapt to each individual he’s worked with in order to help fulfill their goals. Due to his years of experience as both a competitor and coach he has refined the skills of adaptive programming, technical cueing, and psychological development of his athletes.

Since earning his degree in Kinesiology back in 2016, Marcellus has also dedicated himself to educating the masses on health, fitness, and social wellbeing. Through his YouTube channel (26,000+ subscribers) he has shared over 500 videos breaking down numerous topics related to strength training, nutrition, and mental health. He has also been a lead innovator in the powerlifting community as a co-founder of Powerlifting Now. With Strength Now, Marcellus’ goal is to craft high quality programs that will ensure strength, technical efficiency, and hypertrophy for lifters at every stage of development.

Sean brings 12 years of coaching experience working with elite strength athletes of all ages through a unique lens as an elite athlete himself. Sean has worked with hundreds of athletes, including lifters in their teenage years as well as those in the master’s division, and from a novice level all the way to the level of IPF world champions and Sheffield qualified athletes. Sean’s success as a coach is driven by his problem-solving skills that were bolstered during his time pursuing both an MIT engineering degree and powerlifting coaching career. Sean’s ability to recognize patterns in training, analyze technique on a granular level, and empathize with the ups and downs of a lifter pursuing elite ranking, has allowed him to get the most out of every athlete he works with.

By disposition, Sean is a natural teacher, and takes pride in being able to communicate complex topics in a digestible and engaging fashion. Between his youtube channel of nearly 20,000 subscribers and his role as an educator on Powerlifting Now, Sean strives to bring the compendium of modern powerlifting philosophy to the masses.

Matt Cronin is an experienced powerlifting coach with 10+ of coaching experience working with lifters across multiple competitive levels. He has coached national and world champions, helping athletes refine technique, improve performance, and succeed on the platform. As an athlete, Matt has competed at the IPF World Championships, earning a silver medal and setting a world record squat for his age and weight class at the time. He is also a former sub-junior national champion, giving him firsthand experience at the highest levels of drug-tested powerlifting.

Matt’s coaching philosophy centers on sound biomechanics, intelligent programming, and sustainable long-term progression in the squat, bench press, and deadlift. His goal is to cut through misinformation and provide lifters with clear, practical guidance focused on what actually drives strength and performance. In addition to coaching, Matt is a co-owner of Powerlifting Now, where he creates educational content to help powerlifters better understand technique, training principles, and how to train with purpose over the long term.
